Stop Waiting for Approval
A lot of people are waiting.
Waiting for validation.
Waiting for likes.
Waiting for someone to approve their life choices.
Posting just to be accepted.
Asking permission to be themselves.
One thing I mastered early in life was this:
I do not care what people think about me.
That mindset probably earned me enemies while growing up. But looking back at what I have built, I know it was the right decision.
My Facebook Page Got Me My First Job
Immediately after school, I got my first and only job through the Facebook community I built.
While some of my friends who had straight As were still searching for direction, I was already working in an industry I loved.
Why?
Because I learned early that the world rewards practical value more than certificates.
While I was building my Facebook page in college, people laughed.
Some even gave me a nickname — “Baba Ijebu.”
Meanwhile, I had a best-selling lotto eBook that continued selling years after I wrote it.
They saw distraction.
I was building leverage.
The Truth About Hiring Today
As the CEO of Micserah Group and Betrelate.com, let me tell you something clearly:
Most new-generation companies do not care primarily about your certificate.
We care about what you can do.
You studied marketing — can you grow engagement?
You studied computer science — can you build systems?
You studied mass communication — can you tell compelling stories?
Out of over 35 employees in my companies, I have never checked most of their certificates.
What matters to me is:
-
Skill
-
Output
-
Initiative
-
Value creation
This is the reality of the modern economy.
Experience Is Not What You Think
When companies say “2–3 years experience,” they are not always talking about formal employment.
They are asking:
What have you built?
What have you tried?
What have you shipped?
What have you grown?
Your social media page can be experience.
Your blog can be experience.
Your YouTube channel can be experience.
Your side hustle can be experience.
Technology has levelled the playing field.
Today, a strong digital presence can open doors to opportunities your CV never could.
Create Value First
Stop waiting for approval.
Stop waiting for validation.
Stop waiting for someone to give you permission to start.
Go out there and create value.
Build something.
Document something.
Learn something.
Share something.
Companies are looking for producers, not just degree holders.
And trust me — the market rewards those who act.
If this resonated with you, say hello on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook.
Keep building.
How do one register with micserah and gain experience.
