2 things to do to get where and what you want in life

Focus on Your Own Path

I genuinely do not care what anyone else has.

I am focused on my own thing.

Maybe it is because I have a path. A direction. A clear idea of who I want to become and how I want things to play out. When you have that clarity, life feels simpler.

Maybe not easier.

But clearer.

And clarity removes distraction.

Be Happy for People. Then Move On.

If my friend buys a new car, I call him and say congratulations.

And after that call?

I go right back to my work.

Because I know where I am going.

Be happy for others, but do not measure yourself by their timeline.

You need to be you.

Do you. Period.

This Is For 20–28-year-olds

Especially those just getting started.

There is too much noise.

Everyone is complaining about the government, lack of opportunity, the system.

But here is the truth.

While many complain, the top 1% are quietly using the same environment to their advantage.

They understand something simple:

The market is the market.

Instead of crying about it, they learn how to navigate it. They read. They build skills. They work relentlessly. Sometimes for free.

“But There Are No Jobs”

Let’s be honest.

If you just finished school, your chances of landing your dream job immediately are slim unless you have powerful connections.

Companies ask for 2–3 years of experience.

You may say, “How can I have experience if nobody hires me?”

Here is the hard truth.

It is a business decision. Companies protect their operations. They are not thinking about your personal situation. And you would do the same if you were in their position.

So what do you do?

You become undeniable.

Work for Experience, Not Ego

You need experience.

And sometimes that means working extremely hard.

Sometimes that means working for free.

At Bet9ja, I worked for free for the first three months just to be part of the founding team. That is how I became the first employee.

I was not focused on salary.

I was focused on opportunity.

Nothing beats doing.

You can sit and analyze.
You can complain.
Or you can execute.

Everyone fails. Everyone sucks at something in the beginning.

The question is: will you keep swinging?

You need more at-bats.

Embrace the Internet

This is the greatest era in human history to build something.

Start a blog.
Create a Facebook page.
Open an Instagram account.
Join LinkedIn.
Talk about your interests.

Post consistently.

Do not post the same content everywhere. Respect each platform differently.

And do not obsess over followers.

When I started my lottery page in 2009, it took two years before anything meaningful happened. I stayed patient. I stayed passionate. Eventually, it paid off.

In this era, you can reach almost anyone.

You can tag leaders.
You can message CEOs.
You can build visibility without permission.

But most people are not patient enough.

Life Is Simple

There are things you can control.

There are things you cannot.

Your mindset and actions are within your control.

People’s opinions are not.

And people’s opinions do not build your life.

Your actions do.

Stop watching others.

Stop measuring yourself by their wins.

Stop waiting for permission.

Go out there and build.

I wish you courage, patience, and relentless focus.
