Legacy Over Everything
Life is a rollercoaster.
One day, you are receiving an award.
Another day, you are walking away from a company you helped build.
That is life.
Let me be honest with you.
There is nothing I value more than my legacy.
And to me, legacy is happiness.
I cannot negotiate that.
What I Truly Fear
There is something I fear deeply.
Not losing money.
Not losing position.
Not losing status.
I fear what will be said about me when I am gone.
I want it to be said that I innovated.
That I did something different.
That I contributed to the growth of Nigerians.
That I helped move the gaming industry forward.
That I added value to this economy.
Nothing more.
Sometimes I cannot sleep because I think about my contribution to the world. I just want to keep creating, innovating, doing good — and being happy in the process.
That perspective makes everything else easier.
The thought of losing money or position does not shake me. That is why I can walk away when ideas begin to conflict with my legacy.
Why am I not afraid to lose it all?
Because I know I can rebuild.
Money does not define me.
Impact does.
Family First
There is one thing I will never compromise on.
The health and well-being of my family.
I lost my mother in 2016. That was a blow that changed me. No matter how complicated relationships can be, you cannot replace your mother.
Since then, family has been my priority.

Business, Feelings, and Strength
In business, I am fearless.
I have been building all my life. I know how to start again.
At BetKing, I learned lessons about friendship, partnership, loyalty, and trust. Some of those lessons were hard.
When you realize that people you trusted may not align with your long-term vision, you count your losses and move on.
You cannot control how someone treats you.
You cannot control their perception.
You cannot control their mood or their motives.
So why let it consume you?
Deploy empathy. Deploy understanding. Then reposition yourself.
And start again.
I Am Wired to Rebuild
Maybe it is my DNA. Maybe it is how I was raised.
I genuinely believe I can build anything if I work hard enough at it.
Confidence compounds with experience.
When you have rebuilt before, you lose the fear of rebuilding again.
You stop worrying about what people think.
You focus on what you know you can execute.
The Next Chapter
I wish BetKing and everyone there the best.
Truly.
But make no mistake.
I am coming back stronger.
This is an industry I have given my all to. I helped build parts of it. And I am not done with it.
For now, I will take a few weeks off. Spend time with my wife. Focus on Micserah.
Then I will re-strategise.
Starting over does not scare me.
What scares me is staying somewhere that conflicts with who I am becoming.
And remember this:
Sometimes, trying to prove you are the best is an insult to yourself.
I am free again.
Repositioning. Rebuilding. Re-strategising.
And this time, I will not repeat the same mistakes.

ReplyDeleteThis is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing websites that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free. It is the old what goes around comes around routine.
